To do better in life is to follow the right people, not the right path, for the right path with the wrong people is still the wrong journey. However, no matter a car’s speed, if the road is damaged, it will not reach its destination any sooner.

Our lives are designed to make an impact and to integrate our experiences, making us functional members of society. This function is not defined by society’s expectations, but by our personal journey, the meaning we choose to give our society, the challenges we help it face, and the fulfillment we ultimately find.

It is sometimes acceptable to be lost, but when life demands that we be found, we must be willing to answer the call our lives are meant to fulfill. In doing so, we must position ourselves to be known for something meaningful, even with our weaknesses, because it is our purpose that designs the future and inspires our society to awaken.

We must sometimes accept the result in moments of confusion and loss, releasing what we’ve clung to in order to embrace the greater aspect life has for us. Our small part in the journey counts toward the larger purpose our lives hold, defining tomorrow. For no matter where life finds us, it is the essence of our experience and the pressure to discover where we truly belong that guides us.

It can be difficult to accept our place, especially at life’s lowest points. Yet if our presence gives meaning to those around us, we will one day be celebrated for that very meaning. Regardless of position, the impact we leave behind is the story that writes or begins the journey we are meant to take and reveals who we truly are.

Often, it is at the bottom, through our losses, that we see farthest beyond our limits. It is there that the future’s brightest days are defined, for a joyful story is born from the narrative we choose for our lives. No matter where we make mistakes, they should not miscalculate our future.

However, doing better in life is not about pressuring ourselves or measuring our progress against the efforts of others. It is about defining and then discovering the place uniquely suited to us. And when we find that place, we will see the shining days of our dreams begin to unfold.
